On August 4, President Vladimir Zelensky announced the arrival of Western F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine. This was announced in a telegram on Sunday, August 4.
“The F-16s are in Ukraine we made sure that I am proud of all our people who have mastered these aircraft of high quality and have started using them for our state,” the president said .
The head of state also expressed gratitude to the Ukrainian team for the result, to all partners who really effectively helped with the F-16, and to the first states that accepted our request for the provision of aircraft – Denmark, Netherlands, United States – and all our partners.
“We appreciate your support! And I wish our Air Force, all our soldiers to feel the pride of Ukrainians in our military aviation and bring to Ukraine exactly the kind of combat results that will bring us closer to victory – our just peace for Ukraine,” Zelensky added.
