An explosion occurred at an ammunition factory near the Serbian capital Belgrade on Saturday, August 3, Crisis24 reports.
It is understood that the fire, which started in an abandoned factory at approximately 16:30, caused a large amount of thick smoke in the area. The cause of the fire remains unclear.
Local authorities reported that as of midnight there were no casualties as a result of the incident. A large number of police and emergency medical services were dispatched to the scene.
Local transportation disruptions near the incident site are possible.
