According to online reports, the sabotage and reconnaissance group operated in the Semenovsky district of the Chernihiv region. They were well equipped. The group consisted of experienced officers.
This group was liquidated by a group of volunteers from the Ground Forces intelligence service, wrote journalist Yuri Butusov, citing his own sources.
On July 28, near the village of Mkhi, Semenovsky district, Chernihiv region, a reconnaissance group from one of the reconnaissance battalions of the ground forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, during search operations in a forest area, discovered and attacked a Russian sabotage group.
The Russians had high-quality equipment, they were dressed in camouflage uniforms, each had machine guns with optical sights and silencers, a large amount of ammunition, they were ready for battle.
One of those liquidated, after being wounded in the leg, managed to put on a high-quality tourniquet – this group had modern first aid kits, without Esmarch tourniquets, which the Russians issue to their regular “disposable” infantry.

The group-on-group battle took place at a short distance, in a dense forest, help could not reach our fighters quickly, everything was decided by the high level of fire training, correct tactics, and most importantly the character of the Ukrainian soldiers, who decisively went forward, acting harmoniously as one team.
During the battle, Russian troops attempted to provide fire support to the saboteurs. The Senezh group was supported by several drones and an artillery battery operating from the Bryansk region.
But the units of the Sever OK carried out several precise strikes in response to positions on Russian territory; the enemy suffered losses and the Russian artillery was suppressed, one gun was hit.
During the battle, 5 Russian saboteurs were killed on the spot, another wounded Russian tried to escape, but did not get far and bled to death.
According to Russian sources, the destroyed group consisted only of officers, three of them majors, one captain, one senior lieutenant. The rank and name of the sixth is being clarified.
“Senezh” is the elite of the elite of the Russian army, the best of the best, after a careful selection.
