According to Forbes calculations, in July, Ukrainian forces for the first time carried out more drone strikes on Russian territory than the Muscovite army carried out on Ukraine.

The publication, prepared by combat drone expert David Hambling, says that Russia sent 426 kamikaze drones to Ukrainian targets last month, while Ukraine responded with 520 such drones. The author cites data from the OSINT analysis account Shahed Tracker on the X network (formerly Twitter).
Hambling said “Russia is probably not as effective at shooting down attacking drones, and Ukrainian strikes appear to be causing more economic damage to oil refineries and other facilities.”
Ukraine may be gaining an edge in the long-range strategic drone war – and President Zelensky promises more and better attack drones, an expert says.
He writes that Russia currently produces about 120 missiles per month — and about the same number of them are launched monthly at targets in Ukraine. At the same time, attack drones of the “shahed” type, at a low cost, allow it to strike at a great distance of more than 1.5 thousand km, and possibly up to 3 thousand km.
The big question is how many long-range attack drones Ukraine can produce, and whether July is the peak of its capabilities, the article says.
According to Deputy Minister for Strategic Industries and Industry Anna Gvozdyar, Ukraine is capable of producing more than three million drones of all types per year; there is capacity for this, only funding is lacking.
