Air defense forces were operating in the region. Ukrainian defenders shot down all hostile targets. Not a single drone hit residential or critical infrastructure facilities. This was reported by the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration Ruslan Kravchenko on Telegram.
However, debris from the downed drones left two people injured. The man and woman were taken to hospital and are receiving all necessary medical care.
Two private houses in one of the settlements were also damaged. The roofs of the buildings were damaged, the facades were torn up, and the windows and doors were knocked out.
The Ukrainian Air Force reported that on the night of August 1, the Russians launched Iskander-M ballistic missiles from Russia’s Voronezh Region and occupied Crimea. And from Russia’s Kursk and Cape Chauda in occupied Crimea, the enemy launched Shahed-type attack UAVs.
The command noted that the radio-technical troops detected and accompanied seven “Shakheds”. All of them were shot down by air defense in the Kyiv, Poltava, Kherson and Dnepropetrovsk regions.
Let us recall that Ukrainian military nights repelled one of the most massive UAV attacks. On the night of July 31, the Russians attacked with 89 kamikaze drones, but the Ukrainian air defense worked perfectly and managed to destroy all 89 “Shaheds”.
