International partners will have access to information about such suppliers, the department notes.
To increase transparency and accountability in the procurement process for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is launching a database of unscrupulous foreign suppliers of defense goods, works and services. The department announced this on Telegram on Tuesday, July 30.
The corresponding order was developed in accordance with the instructions of Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, noted Gleb Kanevsky, director of the Department of Procurement Policy of the Ministry of Defense.
“The new mechanism will allow us to effectively monitor and analyze information about foreign counterparts who have not fulfilled their contractual obligations to meet the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the official said.
The list is an information base containing data on unscrupulous foreign counterparts.
The information will be available to international partners in whose territories these counterparties are registered and operate.
As we have already written, in the first half of this year, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine codified and approved five models of armored vehicles for various purposes for use by troops.
