The telegram channel “Wagner unloading”, associated with the leadership of the PIK “Wagner”, reported that fighting continued in the area of the city of Tin-Zouatin from July 22 to 27. “Wagner” members opposed the “Coordination Movement of Azawad” (CMA) and the local center of “Al-Qaeda” (JNIM).
Led by Russian militant Sergei “Prud” Shevchenko, the mercenaries allegedly repelled several rebel attacks, but by July 27, only three of them remained. Shevchenko himself was also killed.
Ahead of the attack, the rebels claimed to have killed around 20 mercenaries.
The CSP-PSD rebel movement announced the elimination of dozens of mercenaries and soldiers of the junta of Colonel Assimi Goit, as well as the seizure of armored vehicles and trucks with tanks. All this happened during fighting on the border with Algeria. The rebels also reported that they damaged a helicopter and it crashed in the city of Kidal.
Mali’s army has acknowledged fighting with the Tuaregs, but said it lost only two fighters, killing 20 rebels. Official Bamako says the fighting lasted two days.
Videos of dead and captured Wagnerites, as well as a destroyed convoy, are going viral on social networks, especially on X.

The Baza Telegram channel writes that at least 20 Wagnerites have been killed. Among those eliminated is the author of the Russian GreyZone channel with 500,000 subscribers, with the call sign “White”, as well as the commander of Russian mercenaries in Mali, Anton Elizarov, with the call sign “Lotus”. The latter participated in the invasion of Ukraine and led the assaults near Popasna, Severodonetsk, Lisichansk, Uglegorsk TPP and Soledar.
Today, CSP-PSD rebels published an appeal to Ukraine. They are ready to hand over the captured Wagnerites and support Ukraine in the fight against Russia.
