The attack on Israel killed at least twelve people, most of them children and teenagers.

Israel’s military-political cabinet has authorized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to decide what the country’s response will be to Hezbollah’s strike on the Golan Heights. The Times of Israel reported this on Sunday, July 28.

It is indicated that the cabinet meeting lasted more than four hours. Only Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir abstained from voting.

The forum gave Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant the authority to decide the scale and timing of Israel’s response to yesterday’s deadly rocket attack on the Golan.

As journalists write, the target of the revenge attack has been identified.

“It’s a limited but important objective,” said a security source.

They added that Israel’s response would be tough, but that the country did not intend to “ignite a regional war.”

It will be remembered that the Hezbollah group launched a missile attack on the Golan Heights. Bullets exploded in the Majdal Shams area and killed at least 10 people.
