Israel has warned Lebanon of the threat of a devastating war following the shelling of a stadium in the Golan Heights. The condition for avoiding war is the disarmament and withdrawal of Hezbollah forces. This is what the spokesperson of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Oren Marmorstein, said on X (Twitter) on Sunday, July 28.

He said Hezbollah was responsible for yesterday’s attack on a stadium in the Golan Heights in northern Israel. The spokesman added that the missile that hit the stadium was Iranian.

“Israel will exercise its right and responsibility to act in self-defense and respond to the attack,” Marmorstein assured.

He called for full responsibility to be placed on Iran and the groups they support – Hezbollah, Hamas and Houthis, as well as to recognize the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist organization and impose sanctions.

“The only way the world can prevent a full-scale war, which would also be devastating for Lebanon, is to force Hezbollah to comply with Security Council Resolution 1701 (regarding disarmament and withdrawal of forces – ed. Now is the last moment ). to do it “diplomatically”, the Israeli official is convinced.

It will be remembered that the Hezbollah group launched a missile attack on the Golan Heights. Bullets exploded in the Majdal Shams area and killed at least 10 people.
