Finns must get used to the fact that war will come close to their country’s borders, says Finnish leader Alexander Stubb.
Finnish President Alexander Stubb, against the backdrop of an attack on the Russian Olenya airfield in the Murmansk region (less than 200 kilometers from the Finnish border), said that there was no direct threat to the country. This was reported by the Finnish publication Yle.
According to him, in connection with the defeat of the Russian airfield, he held negotiations with the Prime Minister of Finland, Petteri Orpo, and the Prime Minister of Sweden, Ulf Kristersson.
“The main message is that we have no reason to worry in Finland. The situation is under our control and we are meeting,” assured the head of the country.
According to him, the Finns should get used to the fact that the war will approach the borders of Finland, because “it is not far from Helsinki to Kyiv.”
“We must get used to the fact that Ukraine must use all means to win this war, and this also means different strikes. And Russia will continue to launch hybrid strikes,” Stubb added.
