More than 20 people were taken to hospitals after being poisoned by chlorine in a swimming pool. Among the victims were children.
Major chlorine poisoning occurred in one of the swimming pools in Warsaw. 60 people were evacuated, 21 others were taken to hospitals for evaluation. Polish Radio reported this on Saturday, July 27.
The incident took place on Friday night at the Polonaise Pool. The Metropolitan Police said they detained three people to clarify the circumstances.
Among the victims of poisoning are children. Some of the victims have returned home.
Police did not reveal details of the investigation, but Jacek Wisniewski from the Metropolitan Police confirmed that three people were in custody.

According to Vishnevsky, as of Saturday morning, four children were still in the hospital for examination.
The pool is managed by the Sports and Recreation Center of the Targowek district of Warsaw. The director of the establishment, Jacek Pazuk, in an interview with Polish radio RDC, said that there are two versions: either the chlorination system failed, or one of the workers made a mistake.
Chlorine poisoning sometimes occurs in swimming pools. So, a similar incident occurred in the Russian Federation in 2020. Then 30 people were injured. Before this, 21 pool guests were poisoned by chlorine in Khmelnitsky.
