Russian agents periodically commit sabotage in Germany and other European countries.
Russian intelligence services are using social networks to try in Germany to “discover people who may be susceptible to Russian attempts to influence them.” This was stated on Friday, July 26, in the report “Recommendations for Ensuring Economic Security” by the Office for the Protection of the German Constitution (BfV), which serves as the country’s counterintelligence agency.
The department also came to the conclusion that Russia’s sabotage activities in Europe have intensified, and its intensity depends on the course of the war in Ukraine and Moscow’s relations with Western countries.
In particular, the BfV points to an increase in cyber attacks, as well as arson, vandalism and propaganda activities carried out by Russian agents in Germany and other European countries.
“Such operations are mainly carried out by young, Russian-speaking, ideologically pro-Russian and untrained “low-level” agents recruited through social networks and instant messengers,” the report said. .
We remind you that in the Nikolaev region, an FSB henchwoman was detained, directing fire from enemy artillery systems on Ochakov and its sea area.
Earlier, the SBU detained a Russian informant who was leaking Ukrainian Armed Forces positions near Kharkov.
