As of February 2024, it was found that the needs for the restoration of Ukraine is almost $486 billion.
The private sector of the United States is ready to join the work to restore Ukraine now, without waiting for the end of the war. US Deputy Secretary of Commerce Maris Lago stated this on Friday, July 26, during a visit to Kyiv, writes Radio Liberty.
He noted that the American government has already given Ukraine $82 billion in military, economic and humanitarian aid and noted that this work will continue, and that US private business is ready to join.
“Supporting Ukraine is more than the right thing. It is an investment in transatlantic security and democratic values that we hold dear. For us, an unwavering commitment to Ukraine means connecting American companies with urgent needs today, such as defense and energy,” said Marisa Lago.
In Kyiv, Lago met with the business community, entrepreneurs and government representatives.
Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petr Fiala said that this year the Czech Republic will allocate 500 million crowns (more than $21 million) to humanitarian support, support for development programs and economic assistance to Ukraine.
We remind you that Ukraine, with the help of partners, intends to build up to 1 gigawatt of gas-fired maneuverable generation by 2024 and another 4 gigawatts in the coming years.
