The publication Wion writes about the visit of the Indian Prime Minister, citing anonymous Indian diplomats; official statements on this matter have not yet been made.
According to Wion, Narendra Modi may visit Kyiv in the second half of August, most likely on the 23rd.
India does not help Ukraine, has not joined the sanctions against Russia, but, on the contrary, maintains good relations with it and buys Russian oil at reduced prices.
Wion recalls that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky invited Modi in a telephone conversation this year; in addition, they met in person on the sidelines of the G7 summits in Italy in June and in Japan last year.
On July 8, the day of the massive missile strike on Ukraine, Modi came to Moscow on a visit. Putin spoke with him at the Novo-Ogaryovo residence.
Modi called Putin his friend.
Visiting a friend at home is a great joy, said the Indian prime minister.
