“2024 is the year when we will have F-16 fighters and we will use them on the battlefield. We are working now to rapidly increase the amount of training, increase the amount of training for support personnel and to bring aircraft deliveries closer,” Markarova. said.
At the same time, the diplomat recalled that US politicians are preparing for the election and the consideration of some issues can be promoted.
He added that the priority task of Ukrainian diplomacy is to strengthen air defense.
“In the coming months we will see a serious increase in the supply of frontal and air defense weapons to protect the cities of Ukraine,” he said.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said that Ukraine needs at least 128 F-16 fighters to create effective competition for Russia in the air.
