U.S. authorities are set to announce on Wednesday that additional forces will be deployed to the eastern part of NATO. Jake Sullivan, national security adviser to the President of the United States, said this at a briefing on Tuesday, June 28th.
“Tomorrow, the United States will announce additional deployments of ground, air and naval forces for the long term,” Sullivan said.
He noted that at the NATO summit in Madrid, some countries will also announce an increase in their contribution to defense in the eastern part of the alliance, especially in the Balkans and Baltic countries.
