Ukraine’s military personnel are already being trained to use the Norwegian NASAMS anti-aircraft missile system. This was reported by Politico correspondent Paul McLeary in Twitter on Tuesday, June 28th.
“Ukraine will receive a NASMS air defense system? I seem to have been told that Ukrainian soldiers are already training about it,” the journalist wrote.
The NASAMS air defense system is expected to be among the next batch of heavy weapons to be approved by U.S. authorities for transfer to Ukraine.
According to National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, Washington is in the process of finalizing an assistance package that includes advanced medium-to-long-range air defense capabilities for Ukrainians, along with several other items that are urgently needed.
