Britain will speed up the supply of additional ammunition, rifles and boats, as well as some types of modern equipment needed by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the battlefield.
The United Kingdom will accelerate the provision of military aid to the Ukrainian army in Ukraine. British Defense Minister John Gealey said this on Wednesday, July 24, at a press conference with German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius in Berlin, Ukrinform reports.
“It is in the interest of every European country that Ukraine wins and Putin loses, because if he wins in Ukraine, he will not stop. Therefore, the defense of European security starts in Ukraine,” Gili emphasized.
He noted that on the second day of his tenure as Minister of Defense, he went to Odessa, where he met President Zelensky and his team.
“I came there to promise that we will speed up the aid that the UK has promised. We will do it within 100 days,” the minister said.
Gili clarified that his country plans to accelerate the supply of additional ammunition, rifles and boats, as well as some types of modern equipment needed by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the battlefield.
He also confirmed the British government’s readiness to provide £3 billion in military aid to Ukraine this year and every year.
Gili added that the West needs increased cooperation in the development and production of weapons.
The Ministers of Defense of Ukraine and Great Britain, Rustem Umerov and John Gealey, signed an agreement between the governments of the two countries on official credit support for the development of our state’s defense capabilities.
