This was reported by The Hill, citing a statement from Badein’s doctor, Kevin O’Connor.
The US president took the Binax rapid antigen test and received a negative result, “symptoms have resolved,” the doctor said. Minutes before the test result was announced, Biden’s motorcade left his home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, to return to the White House.
O’Connor noted that Biden never had a fever during his infection, his vital signs remained normal and his lungs were clear. The doctor said he would monitor for any relapses and keep the White House informed of changes in Biden’s condition.
He also reiterated during Biden’s isolation that he continues to carry out all of his presidential duties.
Biden tested positive for COVID-19 while campaigning in Las Vegas on July 17 and has been isolating at his home in Rehoboth Beach since then. On July 21, he announced he was dropping out of the 2024 presidential race and endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as his replacement.
