The Ministry of Education and Science reported this on July 23.
Regional administrations and founders of educational institutions will ensure a safe start to education depending on the situation in each region: “Schools have more freedom in planning. They can adjust the structure of the academic year themselves. The main thing is to take into account the situation and the energy situation, the impact of the war on students and possible educational losses,” the department writes in its Telegram channel.
Earlier, the Ministry of Education recommended starting the year earlier, and some regions heeded it.
Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi announced on Friday, July 5, that the school year in the city will start earlier this year – on August 19.
This decision was made to ensure full-fledged education, given the forecast for a difficult winter. And the planned winter holidays will begin on December 21. In the event of a blackout, schools will become points of invincibility.
