Ukraine can receive from Bulgaria ammunition recognized as unclaimed if these supplies are paid for by allied countries.
Bulgaria can transfer unclaimed stocks of shells and other military equipment to Ukraine if these supplies are paid for by allied countries. This is what the acting Bulgarian Defense Minister Atanas Zapryanov said, BNR reported on Monday, July 22.
According to him, the Bulgarian Ministry of Defense, during a property inventory, discovered “surplus and unclaimed property in the Bulgarian army.”
“From this property, some of the ammunition of some kind can be given to Ukraine. This package will also be linked to an agreement with an allied country on compensation, similar to the previous package that we sent,” said by Zapryanov.
The Bulgarian government must still make a decision on providing military aid to Ukraine, then coordinate it with its allies and Kiev, as well as provide logistics.
Earlier it was reported that Bulgaria is considering the possibility of providing aid to Ukraine of 80 million euros.
