The incident occurred in the Belotserkovsky district. The victim poured a flammable substance on herself. The guards tried to stop her, but the woman set herself on fire. One of the workers immediately began to put out the flames with a fire extinguisher. An ambulance was immediately called to the scene.
Upon arrival of the medics, the woman was conscious, but had suffered about 70% burns to her body. She was urgently taken to the hospital. According to preliminary information, the woman and the man were resolving the issue in court regarding the rights to the child. Investigators of the Kyiv region police have launched a pre-trial investigation into the fact of incitement to suicide, the report says.
