A fatal road accident occurred in Lviv region.

Today, July 17, at about 10:10 on the Mukachevo-Ivano-Frankivsk-Lviv highway, within the village of Davydiv in the Lviv district, a minibus collided with a truck. The driver of the MAN truck and three passengers of the Lviv-Vybranovka bus were killed. The Lviv regional police reported this on Facebook.
The bus driver and six other passengers were injured. A four-year-old boy was among the injured. The injured were taken to hospital, and doctors are assessing their condition.
Investigators opened a criminal case under Part 3 of Article 286 (violation of traffic safety rules or transport operation by persons driving vehicles) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The culprit of the accident faces five to 10 years in prison with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years.
At the scene of the accident, law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the collision, clarifying the personal information of the drivers, as well as the victims.
Let us recall that on July 6, a major accident occurred in the Rivne region – between Ostroh and Zdolbuniv near the village of Verkhiv on the Gorodishche-Rivne-Starokostiantyniv highway, a fuel tanker and a minibus collided. As a result of the accident, 14 people died.
The youngest victim only turned six on July 4. The boy’s parents also died in the accident.
