There are 233 MPs left in the Servant of the People.
In her social networks, Bezugla, who has systematically criticized Ukraine’s military leadership over the past year, explained that she “does not have the moral strength to associate herself with the faction even formally.”
She submitted a statement on leaving the parliamentary faction “Servant of the People” and the statement should be read in the Verkhovna Rada.
Bezugla complained that “the priorities of her colleagues in the committee are not clear to her,” and that representatives of the SN faction in the Committee are uniting with the opposition to sabotage, and “not fulfilling their mission of legislation and control over the national security and defense sector.”
In addition, Bezugla is hurt that her fellow party members are working together with the EU, Golos and Rodina factions and that “all this is being done behind the scenes.”
After my already open conflict with the Committee on the basis of criticism of the military leadership and the law on mobilization, the greatest attacks on me came from members of my “native” faction, the MP writes.
Bezuglaya tried to meet with the president, but it was “very difficult to get through to him with obvious facts about the problems in the army.”
The day before, Bezuglu was dismissed from his post as head of the subcommittee on civil democratic oversight and control of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security.
