Ptitsa, a defender of Azovstal, wrote about this on Facebook:
I drew attention to the problem, it was heard and today the commission is already in 59… I am conscious of all the risks I have exposed myself to. But it is better this way than to be afraid and silent all my life. Senseless, unjustified losses cost me and the country hundreds of times more than my safety and peace of mind.
The General Staff recently announced that they would conduct an investigation into the situation at the 59th separate separate brigade named after Yakiv Handzyuk following statements by paramedic Kateryna (Ptichka) Polischuk regarding the negligence of the brigade commander Bohdan Shevchuk, which led to the death of a large number of servicemen, including those in high-ranking positions.
The situation in the brigade is completely operational. Everyone is in their places, performing the tasks that are set for us. Including the brigade commander, in place, – this is how Sergei Tsekhotsky, an officer of the 59th OMBR named after Yakov Handzyuk, responded to the question of public accusations against the command.
Polischuk called on social networks to check the actions of the brigade command. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that a working group headed by the head of the Military Law Enforcement Service will work in the unit’s area of responsibility to clarify the circumstances of recent losses among personnel.
