The former British prime minister was optimistic after talks with the Republican leader about Ukraine.
Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson met with US presidential candidate Donald Trump on Tuesday, July 16. In particular, the politicians discussed the war in Ukraine. Johnson announced this on the X social network.
“We discussed Ukraine and I have no doubt that he will be strong and decisive in supporting this country and defending democracy,” Johnson said.
He also added that Trump “is in excellent condition after the disgraceful attempt on his life.”
Meanwhile, Trump in his Truth Social post did not name the subject of the meeting, but simply called Johnson “a wonderful person.”
Let’s remember that in the recent debate with Joe Biden, Trump again said that he would stop the war between Russia and Ukraine if he was elected. At the same time, Biden indicated that Putin’s appetites extend far beyond the occupied part of Ukraine.
