Ukrainians replied, “Is it a shame to be a draft dodger”

A significant percentage of Ukrainian citizens – 46% – believe that it is not shameful to avoid military service. Most of them are in the south and west of the country.

A significant part of Ukrainians surveyed – 46% – believe that there is no shame in avoiding military service. While 29% think the opposite. This is confirmed by the results of a sociological survey conducted by the Razumkov Center on June 20 – 28, commissioned by the publication ZN.UA.

The highest rate of opinion that shirk is not shameful was recorded in the south of the country (60%) and in the west (48%).

The survey also showed that, by age, 37% of people over the age of 60 believed that being a draft dodger was shameful during the war.

Most of those who are not shy are in the age categories 18-29 years old (50%) and 50-59 years old – 52%.

We remind you that in March 2024, 70% of Ukrainians have relatives who fought or are fighting at the front.
