A poll by the Razumkov Center, conducted from June 20 to June 28, 2024, showed that 46% of Ukrainians surveyed believe that it is not shameful to be a evader now. 29% of Ukrainians hold the opposite opinion, and another 25% found it difficult to answer the question. This is reported by ZN.UA, which ordered the poll.
The survey also showed that the elderly (60+) condemn the draft dodgers the most — 37% believe that it is shameful to be a draft dodger during a war. But 50% of the youngest respondents (18-29) say that it is not shameful. 52% of people aged 50-59 also understand draft dodgers.
During the study, sociologists interviewed 2,027 respondents aged 18 and over, and the theoretical sampling error does not exceed 2.3%. The people interviewed represented the rear part of Ukraine.
It is currently impossible to study the opinion of the army, which bears the entire burden of the war and has the right, if not the decisive, then the most significant voice in negotiations with Russia, the article says.
Let us recall that the results of the poll conducted by the sociological service Razumkov Center showed that Ukraine will win the war by the end of 2024, 24% of respondents. And approximately 38% of Ukrainians believe that the country will win in a year or two. Another 15% of respondents believe that this will take more time – two or three years, and 5% voted for five years.
