Swedish Defense Minister Poul Johnson signed a cooperation agreement on unmanned aerial vehicles for Ukraine. He did this on behalf of Stockholm at the NATO summit in Washington. This was reported by the press service of the Swedish Defense Ministry.
The official noted that Sweden, together with other allied countries, will support the Ukrainian Armed Forces with drones. They will do this through joint purchases.
Paul Johnson emphasized that UAVs have become an important part of modern warfare and are of great importance for Ukraine. It is drones that allow Ukrainian defenders not only to stop Russian ground attacks, but also to collect information on the battlefield.
Together with other countries, we will support Ukraine in the drone coalition in purchasing, supplying and training drone pilots,” he said.
Let us recall that in March, France, Germany and Poland agreed to create a new coalition of long-range rocket artillery systems for the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
