Ukraine plans to hold a conference on food security and freedom of navigation in Turkey.
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky met with Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Washington. The head of state announced this on Telegram on Thursday, July 11.
Zelensky noted that Erdogan mentioned Ukraine’s efforts aimed at bringing our people back home. He especially praised the return of the Crimean Tatars and thanked them for these efforts.
In addition, the parties discussed a conference that Ukraine plans to hold in Turkey on food security and freedom of navigation.
“Had a productive meeting with the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan I thank him for his unwavering support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine We are preparing to hold a conference in Turkey on food security and freedom in navigation as part of the implementation of the decisions of the Peace Summit.”
We remind you that the Ukrainian president previously met with US leader Joe Biden. The American president announced a new package of security assistance to Ukraine.
