There will be no electricity in Ukrainian homes for longer than usual. This is due to abnormal heat, which puts additional strain on the power grid, which has been seriously damaged by the Russians over the past four months. DTEK reported this on Telegram on July 11.
It is noted that, according to information from Ukrenergo, a special deficit is expected from 16:00 to 23:00. For Kyiv, Kyiv, Odessa, Dnepropetrovsk and Donetsk regions, this means that power outages will also occur in the light gray zones of the graphs.
According to the shutdown schedules used by regional power companies, this means that power must be guaranteed for two hours out of nine. The remaining seven hours may be without electricity.
Let us recall that on July 9, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal stated that the situation with electricity could improve in the twenties of July, because repair work at some generating facilities will be completed. This will allow increasing the capacity in the energy system. Thus, the outages will not be so long.
