Gosenergonadzor has a reasonable suspicion that some oblenergos have incorrectly applied closing schedules.
The State Energy Supervision Inspectorate will check the energy companies regarding the consistent application of power outage schedules. The head of the inspection, Ruslan Slobodyan, said this in a telethon, Gosenergonadzor reported on Thursday, July 11.
“We are carefully monitoring the flow of citizens’ complaints about unfair distribution. The system operator has followed the principle of social justice in the distribution of electricity,” said Slobodyan.
According to him, most of the complaints come from the Dnepropetrovsk region, which Gosenergonadzor plans to check first. Inspections are also planned in five to six other regions.
Slobodyan noted that hourly closing schedules may not be followed due to emergency shutdowns caused, in particular, by heat. At the same time, the department has reasonable suspicions that some electric companies in the region have not applied hourly outage schedules correctly.
“We will carefully examine it. Based on the results, appropriate orders will be issued to eliminate violations with recommendations for their further prevention,” Slobodyan promised.
We remind you that on July 11, 24-hour schedules of hourly power outages are in effect in all regions of Ukraine. From 16:00 to 23:00 four queues of shutdowns will be used, in the remaining hours – three queues.
It was previously reported that July will be the most difficult period for the Ukrainian energy system. Currently, nuclear power plants are undergoing scheduled maintenance.
In this regard, Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal announced that the duration of the outages will soon be reduced.
