TruCAM application areas are determined according to the state of accidents and accident-prone areas and accident concentration areas.
In Ukraine, the list of road sections where traffic speed is measured has been expanded. Police will use additional TruCAM radars. The Patrol Police press service reported this on Wednesday, July 10.
A total of 160 speed detection devices will operate on the roads. Specifically, 17 new sites were added, changes were made to another 3, 1 was removed, and work was suspended on 54.
“In total, 160 TruCAM devices will work on the roads of Ukraine, and measurements will be carried out on 295 sections of highways,” the statement said.
The press service recalled that patrol officers use TruCAM alongside automatic recording cameras. After all, greater efficiency in controlling the speed of movement is achieved only through a combination of measurement methods.
The locations are determined according to the state of accidents and accident-prone areas and areas (areas) of concentration of accidents caused by drivers violating the established speed limits.
Let’s recall that on May 17, President Vladimir Zelensky signed a law amending the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses and the Criminal Code of Ukraine on strengthening liability for military offenses.
