The Indian Prime Minister also called to “set aside bullets and bombs” and instead seek “a path to peace through negotiation.”
The death of innocent children is painfully visible, all this in itself is terrible. This statement was made by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a meeting with Vladimir Putin on Tuesday, July 9, after the Russian attack on the Okhmatdyt children’s hospital in Kyiv on July 8, Reuters reports.
The Indian prime minister’s statement was an unspoken rebuke to Putin, who greeted Modi in the Kremlin with a statement about the importance of strategic ties between India and Russia.
The Prime Minister of India said that regardless of whether it is a war, conflict or terrorist attack, anyone will bear the pain when people die.
“But when innocent children are also being killed, what heart can bear to see all this horror,” assured the head of the Indian government.
He also called for finding a “way to peace.”
“As a friend, I always say that peace is necessary for our future generations. Only through negotiation can pave the way for peace,” Modi assured.
Putin thanked Prime Minister Modi “for the efforts made to find a peaceful end to the war.”
As we have already written, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived on a visit to Russia on Monday, July 8. He intends to hold talks in Moscow with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
