Power problems in these regions began to appear on July 5, when unknown drones attacked local power facilities.
Power outages in the Krasnodar region of Russia affected more than 325 thousand people, in the Rostov region – more than 226 thousand.
“Due to high seasonal consumption caused by maximum summer temperatures, electricity grid facilities were cut in the Krasnodar Territory, affecting more than 325 thousand people, according to operational data , 42 thousand consumers remain without electricity supply,” the report said.
In the Rostov region, power outages occurred due to accidents and repairs to energy supply facilities. In particular, the accident occurred at the Novocherkassk State District Power Plant (repairs should be completed on July 9).
The energy supply situation was affected by the planned maintenance of one of the units of the Rostov Nuclear Power Plant and emergency maintenance of the Rostov CHPP-2 and Volgodonsk CHPP-2 units. The grid lost about 1 GW of capacity as a result.
The media said that in Krasnodar on July 9 the air temperature could be plus 38 degrees, and on July 10 and 11 – plus 35-36 degrees.
We remind you that unknown drones attacked the city of Primorsko-Akhtarsk in the Krasnodar Territory. Russia’s “air defense system” appears to have shot down several drones.
