Berlin and Warsaw offered help to Kyiv in the placement and treatment of children from a hospital destroyed by a Russian missile.
Germany and Poland on Monday, July 8, expressed their willingness to accept Ukrainian children for treatment after the Russian missile attack on the Okhmatdyt hospital in Kyiv.
This German initiative was announced by German Health Minister Karl Lauterbach on the social network X.
“I promised the Minister of Health of Ukraine, Viktor Lyashko, that we will accept sick children who need help at any time. The next rescue flight will start on Wednesday,” the German minister wrote.
He noted that in a targeted attack on a children’s hospital, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin once again showed that he is a war criminal.
Also today, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, at a press conference with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky in Warsaw, noted that his country is ready to provide Kyiv with the necessary assistance after the Russian strike on Okhmatdyt.
“We already have experience in direct medical care organized by the government, including operations there or reception of the sick and injured in Poland, so think if we can help you in this matter in our power, – he noted.
We remind you that on the morning of July 8, Russia launched a series of massive attacks on Kyiv, Dnieper, Krivoy Rog and other Ukrainian cities. The Russians hit the Okhmatdyt children’s hospital in Kyiv, killing two people. Rescue work continues in Okhmatdyt.
