At the Diamond League stage in Paris, she was the first in the world to clear a height of 2.10 m, reports Obshchestvennoye.
It is noted that the Ukrainian was able to set a new record after winning the competition: in the fight with the Australian Nicola Olislagers, she was the only one to clear the 2.03 m bar.
After clearing the 2.03 m bar, Maguchikh set two consecutive records in height:
- first cleared a height of 2.07 m (on her second attempt), thereby breaking her personal and national high jump record (which also belonged to her);
- Subsequently, on her first attempt, she cleared a height of 2.10 m and set a world record.
The previous world record stood for 37 years. It was set by Bulgarian Stefka Kostadinova, who cleared 2.09 m in 1987.
