The Chinese military arrived in Belarus to conduct joint exercises. The Ministry of Defense of Belarus reported this on Saturday, July 6.
Chinese military personnel will reportedly participate in the joint anti-terrorism training, which will be held from July 8 to July 19.
This joint exercise “will allow the exchange of experience, coordination of Belarusian and Chinese units, and create a foundation for further development of Belarusian-Chinese relations in the field of joint training of troops.”
Earlier this week, Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko announced the “high combat readiness” of Belarusian troops, allegedly due to the “activation” of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Polonaise and Iskander missile systems were brought into position.
Lukashenko suspended the Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces of Europe
