The press service of the Sumy Department of Internal Affairs reported this.
On the night of July 6, due to an attack by Russians using a Shahed type UAV, power was cut off in several districts of the region, the report says.
In addition, at night and in the morning, the Russians carried out nine attacks on border areas and settlements in the Sumy region. A total of 22 explosions were recorded. The following were subjected to attacks:
- Khotyn community – the enemy fired artillery (two explosions);
- Esmani community – Russians dropped four mines on the territory of the community;
- Belopolskoye society – shelling from a mortar (two explosions) and the dropping of explosive devices of the VOG type from a UAV (four explosions) were carried out;
- Shalyginskaya community – mortar shelling was recorded (six explosions).
The press service of Ukrenergo reports that as a result of the night Russian attack, household and industrial consumers in the regional center of Sumy Oblast, as well as in certain areas of Kharkiv Oblast, were left without power.
By morning, power supply to most consumers was restored. Emergency recovery operations are ongoing, Ukrenergo noted.
