Orban officially arrived in Moscow on Friday, July 5, and discussed with Putin the so-called “paths to achieving peace” in Ukraine.

The Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, in a meeting with the head of the Kremlin Vladimir Putin in Moscow, should support the common policy of the EU in Russia. Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski wrote this on Friday, July 5, on the social network X.

In particular, as Poland’s head of diplomacy indicated, Orbam should focus on returning Ukrainian children home and demand an end to Russian sabotage in Europe.

“I wonder if Prime Minister Orban asked Putin to release political prisoners like Kara-Murza, return Ukrainian children, stop sabotage against EU countries or provocations by Russia and Belarus on the EU border, ” wrote Sikorsky.

He recalled that European treaties oblige the head of the Hungarian government to support the agreed EU policy, especially during the Hungarian presidency.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said that after trips to Moscow and Kyiv, he realized that the positions of both sides in relation to the war unleashed by Russia were “very far apart.”

After a meeting with Orban, Putin proposed ending the “conflict” in Ukraine.
