Residents of Russian Kursk reported a heavy fire in the city near the Kursk Tractor Parts Plant. The fire was visible even on the horizon. It was announced on Thursday, July 4, on social networks. Information about the fire was confirmed by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The press service of the region’s Emergency Situations Ministry reported that the fire consumed 100 square meters in the lumber storage warehouse.
22 firefighters and five tankers were involved in the extinguishment effort.
No casualties were reported.
The Kursk tractor spare parts plant named after the 50th anniversary of the USSR has been inactive for the last twenty years, only in 2019 the city announced the revival of the business. In theory, military armored vehicles could be serviced there.
