Ukrainian-American congresswoman Victoria Spartz, who blocked aid to Ukraine, has been charged with trying to sneak a firearm past airport security.

The US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) said officers found an unloaded firearm in the politician’s carry-on baggage during a security check.
At the same time, Spartz’s team said she “mistakenly” took the gun with her when she planned to fly to a meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
The congresswoman faces up to a year in prison and a $2,500 fine if convicted.
