French far-right party National Association and its allies received 33.14% of the votes in the first round of parliamentary elections, ahead of the left New Popular Front with 27.99% and President Macron’s centrist bloc with 20%. This was reported by BFMTV on Monday, July 1.

Left New Popular Front received 27.99%, or 8,974,463 votes. The left also significantly improved its results compared to the 2022 elections.
Pro-presidential parties forming the coalition togetherreceived 20.76%, or about 6.4 million votes.
The turnout in the first round was 66.71%. The second round of elections will take place on July 7.
