Energy consumption in Ukraine is growing due to heat, so shutdowns are inevitable, Ukrenergo explains.

In Ukraine, on the first day of July, scheduled power outages will occur throughout the day, but enhanced restrictions will not apply. Ukrenergo reported this on June 30.

“Tomorrow, consumption restriction measures will be applied throughout the day. The reason is the increase in energy consumption due to the heat,” the message said.

The company reminds that the current schedules of hourly outages can be found on oblenergos websites and on their pages in social networks.

“When there is light, please use it sparingly,” asked Ukrenergo.

It was previously reported that July will be the most difficult period for the Ukrainian energy system. Currently, nuclear power plants are undergoing scheduled maintenance.

Today it became known that tomorrow Ukraine will be covered with incredible heat. Rain is only possible in the west of the country.
