Today, June 27, in Brussels, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and President Gitanas Nausėda signed the Agreement on Security Cooperation between Ukraine and the Republic of Lithuania.

The agreement provides that:
- Lithuania will strive to provide Ukraine with annual security and defence support in the amount of 0.25% of GDP;
- Lithuania will provide Ukraine with support in the field of security and modern military equipment in the land, air, sea, space and cyber electromagnetic fields;
- Lithuania will also potentially resume a military training mission on Ukrainian territory;
- joint counteraction will be carried out against hybrid threats, nuclear risks, as well as strengthening the protection of critical infrastructure and cooperation in the field of intelligence;
- Lithuania will work with Ukraine to identify sources of funding necessary for the development of the military-industrial complex of our state;
- Lithuania will continue to provide humanitarian assistance to Ukraine and participate in the reconstruction of our country.
The document clearly enshrines support for the Ukrainian formula for peace and our country’s membership in the EU and NATO. Separate blocks relate to holding the aggressor accountable, strengthening sanctions against the Russian Federation and working on creating a compensation mechanism, the statement says.
Also today, Zelensky and Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas signed an Agreement on Security Cooperation and Long-Term Support between Ukraine and Estonia.
The text of the agreement states that:
- Estonia will provide Ukraine with defense assistance worth more than 100 million euros this year and will continue to provide comprehensive support throughout the ten-year validity period of the document;
- The Estonian government will allocate at least 0.25% of GDP annually during 2024-2027 to military support for Ukraine;
- The document sets out individual components of long-term military assistance to Ukraine, in particular, regarding the types of weapons provided by Estonia, namely: artillery (122mm and 155mm howitzers), anti-tank missile systems, missiles and mines, Carl Gustaf rifles, grenade launchers, unmanned systems and electronic warfare systems;
- Ukraine and Estonia will establish a regular Strategic Dialogue to discuss security and defence issues of both countries;
- The agreement also sets out issues of cooperation in the supply of weapons and military equipment, training, the activities of the IT coalition and other coalitions of capabilities, as well as in-depth cooperation in the defense industry;
- Individual blocks concern strengthening sanctions against Russia, compensation for damage, holding the aggressor accountable, helping our state in recovery and restoration, countering hybrid threats, cooperation in the areas of cyber and information security, and protecting critical infrastructure.
In addition, the document clearly confirms Estonia’s support for Ukraine’s future membership in the EU and NATO, the report says.
