The formal leader of Belarus has appointed a new head of administration. This is the Ambassador to the Russian Federation, Dmitry Krutoy.
The self-proclaimed President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, has made several personnel appointments, in particular, the appointment of new ministers of foreign affairs, industry and agriculture, as well as the head of the presidential administration. The press service of the politician reported this on Thursday, June 27.
“A decision was made to appoint the head of the presidential administration. Starting tomorrow, these obligations and duties will be performed by Dmitry Krutoy (who previously served as Ambassador of Belarus to Russia – ed.),” the message said.
Lukashenko said that “Krutoy remains responsible for the implementation of all agreements with Russia.”
In the post of Ambassador of Belarus to the Russian Federation, Krutoy will be replaced by Alexander Rogozhnik, who until now holds the position of Minister of Industry.
The First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Maxim Ryzhenkov became the new Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus. Former Foreign Minister Sergei Aleynik was appointed a member of the upper house of parliament – the Council of the Republic. He will head the commission on international affairs.
Alexander Yukhimov, who previously held the position of deputy head of this department, was appointed head of the Ministry of Industry of Belarus.
Anatoly Linevich, who previously held the position of first deputy chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, became the new Minister of Agriculture.
We remind you that the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan said that he will not go to Belarus while Alexander Lukashenko is in charge there. Other Armenian officials will act in the same way.
According to media reports, Belarus supplied weapons to Azerbaijan, which it used in the war against Armenia. At the same time, Minsk and Yerevan are allies and members of the Russian-led CSTO security alliance.
