The U.S. Treasury is set to announce the U.S. government’s official decision on the embargo on June 28.
The leaders of the G7 (Big Seven) countries have agreed to a ban on gold imports from Russia. This was reported by Reuters, citing sources, as well as a TV channel correspondent CNN Caitlin Collins.
It is noted that the 48th G7 Leaders’ Summit will be held at the Bavarian castle of Elmau in Germany from Sunday 26 June to Tuesday 28 June.
In addition to the leaders of the United States, Great Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Japan and Italy, the summit will be attended by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Council President Charles Michel. President Volodymyr Zelensky will also speak at the summit.
