This is the opinion of 64% of respondents in a sociological survey. Only 3% of respondents rate the situation as good or very good, and 27% – as neither bad nor good. This was reported on the website of the sociological service of the Razumkov Center.
Center experts note that the assessment of the country’s economic condition improved in February-March 2023, when a decrease in negative assessments was recorded even compared to the “pre-war” period. Then citizens assessed the economic situation in Ukraine as “very bad” or “fairly bad” (55% (4% as “good” or “very good”, 37% as “neither bad nor good”). And the December 2023 survey showed that these estimates had worsened by 66.5%, 3% and 27%, respectively.
Sociologists also noted a certain dynamics in economic assessments in the “pre-war” dimension. In particular, in May 2021, 60% of respondents rated it as “very bad” or “fairly bad” (and only 5% as “good” or “very good”, and 32% as “neither bad nor good” ) .
In September-October 2022, more Ukrainians considered it “bad” or “quite bad” – up to 64.5%.
The Razumkov Center conducted a survey within the framework of the USAID program from June 6 to 12. 2,016 respondents aged 18 and over were interviewed face-to-face in the regions controlled by Ukraine. The theoretical sampling error does not exceed 2.3%.
Let us recall that the results of a survey conducted between June 6 and 12 by the sociological service of the Razumkov Center indicate that about half of Ukrainians believe that events in Ukraine are developing in the wrong direction.
