They were detained by border guards of the Volyn detachment. This was reported on the Facebook page of the Western Regional Directorate of the State Border Service.
The event happened yesterday, June 25th.
The servicemen of the Ambukov department received information about the movement of unknown persons towards the state border. A response team was sent to the specified direction. Subsequently, the border patrol found two men near a forest area, the report says.
One of the men took children’s swimming armlets with him to cross the river.
In relation to the men, border guards drew up administrative documents under Art. 204-1 KUoAP “Illegal crossing or attempt to illegally cross the state border of Ukraine.” The degree of punishment will be determined by the court.
Since we urge citizens not to resort to illegal actions and not to try to violate the border, because border guards effectively guard their assigned areas and counter crime,” the State Tax Service notes.
