Ukraine’s victory in the war against Russia will be ensured by three actions: depriving Moscow of the opportunity to advance in the east, using nearby firing lines and causing economic damage. This was stated by the US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, Ambassador James O’Brien, Ukrinform reported on Tuesday, June 25.
“When I’m talking now about Ukraine’s strategy for success, we’re talking about the need to stop Russia’s attempts to break through in the east. And this is the first step to success,” explained a representative of the State Department.
According to him, this involves depriving Russia of the ability to use firing lines and preventing Ukraine from restoring its economy. This can be achieved by adequately providing the Ukrainians with air defense and other weapons so that the country can fight for a long time.
Over time, there will come a point when Russia must consider whether it can move forward, the official explained.
O’Brien added that the meaning of Ukraine’s victory is that it can also control all its internationally recognized territories.
